"This isn't so bad, huh? Making bucks, getting exercise, working outside...Fuckin' A."

I don't know why I go through these periods where I just don't write blog entries. It's not that I'm uninspired or don't have anything to say. Quite the opposite. I have several things going on in my life right now that could make for some lengthy posts, but I'm not ready to write about them yet for a number of different reasons. The other thing is that I just don't like being inside anymore, especially in front of the computer. It's so beautiful outside now and I've really been enjoying doing physical things outdoors. It seems that the hard physical labor I did on my trip has contributed significantly to regaining some strength and dexterity that I haven't felt in years. And I've been putting it to good use by doing tons of landscaping work around my house, staying outside a lot, and lifting weights at the gym. Bodie and I went for a hike at Sugarloaf Mountain on Sunday and as we climbed down a fairly steep rock face, I felt like a kid again playing army. I was all sweaty and had cuts and scrapes all over my legs. It was so great. I am seriously considering starting some kind of service business like landscaping or lawn maintenance. I'm done working behind a desk for a while.

So that's where my head is at. On a side note, I do want to mention that there is just a little bit of work remaining to get the W.O.R.K. project finished up in Sri Lanka that will cost more than what was left from the initial funds. As of now an additional $1000 is needed to run electric out to the seven houses. If any of you would like to like donate a couple bucks, you can donate via PayPal here. Every little bit helps and you can take my word for it that every penny goes straight to the people who need it.

Below are a few photos Chris sent me from his camera. I noticed I didn't have too many of me among the photos I took ;)

You look great in those pics! I'm glad you've been outside. I need to get my ass out more! I'm sure you saw my overweight little girl on Sunday. I need to get her out there too. Although her meds are causing the gain I'm sure I can counter that with some good doggy running and exercising. We should hike together some day. I'll have to warn you though, I'm still pretty sedentary and will huff and puff the entire time but I'm trying!
