As of yesterday I've been in Sri Lanka for a week and I have a strange feeling I've been here for so long, but yet it's gone by so fast. I think most people have that feeling at sometime or another. I seem to have gotten into a rhythm with the work and I feel I'm making a solid contribution . It's getting toward the end of the project, so there's some sense of urgency that's becoming apparent. The skilled workers here are so fun to work with and I feel so much warmth from them. Working hard and giving your best effort sure goes a long way toward gaining their respect. The other night Santha took Chris and I to his temple. There was such an amazing energy there. The temple itself is situated directly under an enormous boulder in such a way that the ceiling of the temple is actually the underside of the boulder. It's all handpainted and I have some amazing photos. Last night we had dinner at Chutte's house to celebrate his daughter's 18th birthday. They were great hosts and we had so much food. Great fun. Well, that's all I have time for because we're off to do some sightseeing at the Galle Fort.

I'm so glad you get to sight see too. I can't wait to see the pics. Enjoy every minute of it!
Sounds really wonderful. Can't wait to see pictures!
Just catching up to where your at. Sounds like an amazing trip so far! I can't put in to words what I think about what your doing over there. I guess it's safe to say that we're very proud of you, Jim.
Glad you are still alive :)
